The joys of maternity leave… not

Wow… maternity leave is pretty boring.Ok, so i’ve only just completed my first week, which is technically using up annual leave, but bloody hell i’ve been bored.

The highlight of my week was witnessing a man win £10,000 on Tipping Point with his last counter, and a guy on The Chase racking up £10,000 in his quickfire round. Not to mention many lie detector tests on Jezza Kyle, with bitches cheating all over the place.

Yay for prenatal pilates

In my second trimester I hit the ‘holy shit I’m not doing pilates yet, how will I ever deliver my child?!’ stage.

So since I can’t handle in-person prenatal exercise classes (hypnobirthing and breast feeding class will be weird enough) I bought a prenatal pilates DVD, specifically the 10 Minute Solution with Lizbeth Garcia.

Things no one tells you about pregnancy

Let’s not deny it, whenever you speak to any woman about pregnancy all you hear are their disgusting stories about how traumatic their labour was… tearing, emergency cesareans, infections, what the pain feels like… I don’t think I need to go on.

But what no one really talks about are the nine months leading up to that. So when I became pregnant for the first time I had no idea what to expect, other than the fact that I would put on weight, and it would be mostly on my stomach. Yes, that was literally all i’d considered.

Trying to exercise when pregnant
